Kanye West will be running as an independent candidate in the forthcoming election.
West, a stern supporter of current President Donald Trump, yesterday, wrote via his official Twitter handle.
“We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.
“I am running for president of the United States,” West wrote in a Twitter post, adding an American flag emoji and the hashtag “#2020VISION”.
Recall West was last month declared a billionare by Forbes Magazine. The current net worth estimate for Kanye West is $1.3 billion, which is $300 million more than wife Kim Kardashian’s little sister Kylie.
However, one can not immediately conclude if West was serious about vying for the presidency four months before the Nov. 3 election or if he had filed any official paperwork to appear on state election ballots.
The deadline to add independent candidates to the ballot has not yet passed in many states.
In stern agreement with his intention, the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk has thrown his weight behind West’s presidential election bid.
Musk made it known via his quick response to Kanye West tweet.
He wrote; “You have my full support!”
